Terms of Service

Effective: August 2026 · Governing law: Massachusetts

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, submitting an intake form, uploading a document, or otherwise using our website and client portal (the "Services"), you ("Client," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business, and "you" includes that business.

2. What the Services Are

The Services let you submit personal and business information and documents for tax preparation or IRS representation assistance, track your case, and communicate with your assigned preparer. The Services do not themselves prepare, file, or submit any tax return or IRS filing. All tax preparation, filing, and representation work is performed by a human, credentialed tax preparer. Any document, calculation, checklist, or draft generated through the Site — including anything produced with the assistance of AI tools — is a preliminary, unreviewed work product for internal preparer use, clearly marked as a draft. It is not advice, not a filed return, and not something to rely on until your preparer has reviewed it and communicated it to you directly.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for: the accuracy and completeness of information and documents you provide; reviewing and confirming your own return before it is filed; responding to requests for information in a timely manner, particularly where a deadline applies; and maintaining your own copies of your tax records as required by law.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees for services are set out in your engagement agreement with us or as separately quoted. See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms.

6. No Guarantee of Outcome

We do not guarantee any specific tax outcome, refund amount, penalty relief, or result of an IRS proceeding. Statements in the Services about potential deductions, credits, or relief programs are candidates for your preparer to evaluate against your actual situation — not a promise that they apply to you.

7. Third-Party Services

The Services use third-party providers to operate, including cloud hosting, email delivery, bot-verification, and AI-assisted document analysis. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is shared with these providers and why.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Services or these Terms will not exceed the fees you paid for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or as needed to comply with law or professional obligations. You may stop using the Services at any time; this does not end any separate professional engagement.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
